No guarantees in life – travel now, experience the world and live!
Sam and I were lucky to meet midway through our lives. Who knew that walking into a diner in Laveen, Arizona would change the course of both of our lives. As I walked in the diner with a friend of mine, Sam told his lunch mate that I was going to be his wife. He was a little nervous but felt compelled to talk to me and as they say – the rest is history. We were inseparable soon after, and as many of you know we can not sit still and are in constant motion. We are driven by the knowledge that we missed many years together, so we make every day count. As Hunter S Thompson said “Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming “Wow! What a Ride!”. It’s in that spirit we started this blog. It’s a space for us to share with our family and friends our many adventures. We love to travel, jeep the Southwest, take weekend trips in our truck camper, rockhound and hike. We welcome your comments and suggestions of places we have yet to see, food we have yet to taste and people we have yet to meet.
Kind Regards,
Sam and Lisa Pounds
